Mini Haul - Charlotte Tilbury, Lancome, Laura Mercier and MAC

I decided to treat myself to a few makeup things that I have been lusting over for quite a while. I could never get bored of makeup and there are loads of others things I want to try still. I thought I would share with you my thoughts on what I bought.

MAC Turquatic Fragrance 20ml (£23.00)

I bought a 20ml as I wasn't sure if I would like it or not. On the website it is descibed as a fragance with notes of anemone, lotus, orris and Corsican blue cedar. I'm not very good at describing scents but I'd say it is a crisp, fresh and subtle smell. I've already got loads of compliments when I've worn it which is very encouraging and makes me wonder why I didn't get the bigger bottle. The only thing I would say which is a disadvantage for me is the bottle. It is lovely but I feel that there is alot of packaging and makes it heavier than it needs to be. Apart from that I will definetly be purchasing it again.

Recently I've gotten into lip liners more and more. I've heard alot about these three lip liners so I thought I would give them a go. Starting with MAC Lip Penci in Soar, its creamy and stays put for longer than I was expecting. Beautiful deep colour that I pair with my MAC Mehr lipstick. I love Charlotte Tilbury matte lipsticks and I've heard so much about her lip liners expecially the Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk. It makes my lips look plump and it has great staying power. I have no idea how! Its velvety texture makes it glide on the lips with no effort. I would pair it with a few of my lipsticks as it gives my lips some ommph! I can see myself ordering more of these very soon. Lancome Contour Pro Lip Liner in 211 Beige Rose is a gorgeous deep brown colour with rose in (hence the name). I've heard this is Lisa Eldridge's favourite lip liner and that is why when I saw Lily Pebbles mention it in one of her blogs I knew I had to get it. She paired it with Laura Mercier Creme Smooth Lip Colour in Spiced Rose which i purchased aswell. The lip liner goes on smooth and is very soft. I don't need to reapply the lip liner alot either which is another bonus. I love this colour and I've even worn it on its own with a bit of lip balm.

I know I've already mentioned it but I really can't express how much I love Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks. I have two of the matte revolution lipsticks out of the range already (Glastonberry and Bond Girl). Before I bought my first one I was afraid with all the hype I wasn't going to like them. They have got to be the best lipsticks I've tried so far. The Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Amazing Grace is such a lovely colour. It is a corally pink colour that does not dry my lips out and the colour lasts ages even if I eat and drink. If I am going out for the night I don't need to touch it up and when I come home there is still a stain of the colour on my lips. I decided to get the Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick in Kiss Chase as it was a new colour and I hadn't tired any of the K.I.S.S.I.N.G range. The colour looks like a glossy version of the Amazing Grace matte lipstick but deeper. This is very mositurising on the lips and as you can see is pigmentated loads. After wearing it for about an hour it left a stain of my lips which made a good base to reapply and for it not to wear quickly. I can see myself buying more of this range. MAC Lipstick in Mehr is one that has a lot of hype over the blogging world and rightly so. This dirty pink colour lipstick is great for the transition into Autumn but I would wear it all year round. I have quite a few MAC lipsticks and I can see this colour being my go to MAC lipstick. You can't go wrong with a MAC lipstick! Last but definetly not least is Laura Mercier Creme Smooth Lipstick in Spiced Rose. I haven't heard much about Laura Mercier lipsticks but they deserve more praise. Lovely soft mosturising and just plain beautiful lipstick. Like I said previously I read Lily Pebbles mention this lipstick in one of her blogs and after seeing pictures I had to try it. Tanya Burr wore the same colour for her wedding day. It is a brown lipstick with rose pink colour in it. Its beautiful and I can't believe I haven't tired the lipsticks before. Will look into purchasing another colour to see if the others are the same.
